The South Dallas/Ellis Council is a professional organization associated with the Texas State Reading Association and the International Reading Association. It has been in your area for a number of years meeting the needs of professional such as yourself. It provides useful information, informative speakers and our Young Author Celebration in February excites and encourages young writers and readers as well as teaches new techniques to the teachers.
Our wish is to have a campus representative in each school in our district that we can contact to help get the information to the faculty regarding meetings and speaker information. We would like to ask for your help in making this council stronger in our district and will be interested in any suggestions that you might have to help us.
Meetings schedules can be found on our calendar. Please join us for our next
meeting. If you bring your children, plan to keep them with you in the
meeting. Childcare will not be provided and children are not allowed in
other areas of the building.
If you plan to attend, or have any questions, please leave a message at 972-223-6450 and I will return your call as soon as possible.
